CUP OF CHRISTMAS TEA
Twenty four ladies of the complex were entertained on Wed. Dec 7, to a Christmas Tea Party, while dressed in our ugliest Christmas sweaters. Ever faithful Barb Erie and Evelyn Arnot hosted the delightful affair.
Cups of hot punch were served at the poinsettia decorated tables, while we enjoyed listening to a tape by Minn. author Tom Hegg, entitled, A CUP OF CHRISTMAS TEA. Hegg's story put everyone in the true Christmas spirit. A choice of teas were served, along with yummy Cranberry Cake, topped with Butter Sauce. I for one need the recipe for this Christmas treat, so here goes.
Cranberry Dessert Cake 9X13 pan.
3 C. flour 1/4C. +2T. butter
4 tsp. baking powder 1&1/2 C. milk
3/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla

Blend flour and B.P. Add salt. Cream sugar, and butter until well blended. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Stir in cranberries and vanilla. Pour into greased pan. Bake 35-40 min. @ 400 degrees.
BUTTER SAUCE
